MISSION WOOD PELLET
Mission Wood Pellet will be a state-of-the-art pellet mill being built in Mission, BC commissioned by SMG Wood Pellet Inc., an SMG company. Mission Wood Pellet utilizes forestry residuals to create wood pellets with a high-energy content. We take our commitment to the environment seriously. Each piece and process in our pellet mill has been engineered to be clean, green and safe. Mission Wood Pellet will produce industrial grade wood pellets to replace coal in power generation and provide thermal energy for industrial applications.
Our facility will be the first coastal wood pellet mill in British Columbia. The location was strategically chosen for access to a plentiful fibre basket, availability of industrial land suitable for a wood pellet operation, and is located in a business friendly community with local availability of skilled labour services and support.
Sustainably produced wood pellets deliver real carbon savings when compared to fossil fuels. Replacing coal with industrial wood pellets has been shown to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide, sulphur oxides, and nitrogen oxides.

Our goal is to supply wood pellets to dedicated biomass power plants to supply power to industrial parks. We will pursue sales opportunities in Europe, South Korea, China and other Asian countries, placing an emphasis on working institutions that are involved in coal-fired energy production and biomass renewable energy initiatives.
